Our Vision

The UMB Postdoctoral Network seeks to foster a sense of community, provide resources for career and personal development, and provide a framework for representation for all post-docs at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. The UMB Postdoc Network meets monthly and offers an excellent career development seminar series at 1:00 p.m. in the Biomedical Sciences' Conference Room 5-F-19 at the UMB Dental School.

The information in this website has been carefully compiled and is intended as a vital resource for current and prospective postdoctoral fellows. Here you can find an abundance of information to guide you before you arrive, provide orientation and training while you are here, and to help you in your search for your next career appointment.

The initial version of the Post-Doc Net was established by Frances Addison, Research Administrator, Department of Biomedical Sciences, Dental School.  Through yet another collaboration between the University of Maryland Dental School, School of Medicine (specifically The Graduate Program in Life Sciences ) and the UMB Graduate School, this site has and will continue to undergo many exciting updates with the goal of addressing the common needs of all postdoctoral research fellows on the UMB campus.
