The Office of Postdoctoral Scholars (OPS) is a collaborative effort between the leadership of the Graduate Program in Life Sciences (GPILS) and UM SOM’s Office of Research Career Development. Our University has long recognized the valuable contributions made to our research enterprise and intellectual community by our Postdoctoral Scholars. This office is striving to highlight the world class training, career development and long-range outcomes that our postdoctoral scholars enjoy and to serve the needs of our current community of Postdoctoral Scholars.
It is our mission to enrich the experience and outcomes of our Postdoctoral Scholars by fostering a sense of community, new collaborations and providing industry leading research training, career development opportunities and guidance to this community of research scholars.
Our Advisory Committee includes faculty leaders and postdocs from the Medical School, Dental School, School of Pharmacy, Nursing School and the UM Office of Academic Affairs.
We are proud members of the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA).
