Child care is an important issue for working parents. Downtown Baltimore Child Care, Inc. is within walking distance of the campus and one of many child care services in and around the area.
Salary Guidelines
The Department of Biomedical Sciences supports the salary guidelines for postdoctoral fellows consistent with those established by the NIH .

Office of International Services
Two-thirds of the postdoctoral fellow population at the University of Maryland, Baltimore is non-resident aliens. The Office of International Services will issue the appropriate immigration form needed to secure a visa after acceptance for admission to the University. Any question or problem regarding immigration regulations should be referred to OIS by calling (410) 706-7480.
Office of Postdoctoral Scholars
The Office of Postdoctoral Scholars, a newly organized office, housed in the Graduate School at UMB . The goal of this office as a liaison between postdoctoral fellows and the central administration of the campus, operating under the direction of Dr. Malinda Orlin, Dean, Graduate School and assisted by Postdoctoral Specialist/Academic Coordinator Dr. Erin Golembewski . The Office of Postdoctoral Scholars is located at 110 South Paca Street, 2nd floor, Baltimore, Maryland 21201.
